It's often hard to put your life in words, but with the paintbrush I feel my voice come to life. I feel the unspoken words fall of my brush, onto the canvas. Much like musicians speak their truth through sound, my truth and questions come in different shades of colors.
Past years have been dedicated to my inner soul searching, and on that journey I found my long lost paintbrush, picked it up again and I've been on the road to finding my voice. Searching for what truly sparks the fire inside me and challenging myself to widen my horizon and finding myself as an artist. I have taken more risks with colors and find myself using bolder colors in more magnitude than before. The bold, strong, bright and sometimes aggressive colors I have found are colors that I like using.
Life is not always simple, black or white. It can be challenging at times and so I find myself channeling all of life's different colors and experiences through my art.
Life is colorful, messy, fun, abundant, bright and full of opportunities. It is for this exact reason that I paint; to fill our life with more feelings, visions, and to give people different experiences and unique connections through my art.
